Firefighting UAVs

On the morning of August 14, the Forum for Dialogue with Businesses on Fire Prevention and Fighting, Search and Rescue, Security, Safety and Digital Transformation took place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, Tan My Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Board of Directors of Ho Chi Minh City Police, ministries, agencies and the People’s Committees of provinces and cities.

The exhibition displayed and introduced four groups of products, including: technology, engineering, means for fire prevention and fighting and rescue; technology and products in the fields of security, safety, buildings and smart homes, smart parking lots; applications for industrial zones, factories, high technology, high-end buildings; solutions for building construction, management of buildings, smart cities, shopping centers, retail, and transportation.

The event attracted many participating units, among them CT UAV (a member of CT Group) which brought to the exhibition two specialized UAV solutions for Fire Prevention and Firefighting and Search and Rescue.

CT Group is the enterprise that recently signed an order to export 5,000 UAVs to South Korea in Seoul, South Korea.

At this exhibition, CT Group brought the CT-SURVEY COMPACT 5KG Fire Prevention UAV capable of monitoring, early detection and warning of fire risks in high-risk areas. The UAV can be scheduled for automatic flights at fixed times.

Payload of the fire prevention UAV is 3–6kg, maximum flight ceiling 5,000m, flight speed 10–15m/s, wind resistance level <13.8m/s (Level 6).

Next is the HEXAROTOR FIREFIGHTING UAV which can directly participate at the scene, supporting firefighting forces in extinguishing fires and rescuing in hard-to-reach areas.

Payload of the firefighting UAV is 60–200 kg, maximum flight ceiling <3,000m, flight speed 10–15m/s, wind resistance level <13.8m/s (Level 6) and a 4K AI Hybrid Zoom Camera 180x.

The combination of these two types of equipment helps shorten response times, increase rescue speed and improve community protection effectiveness.

ASEAN’s first passenger UAV

CT Group also stated that it is heavily investing in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles with 16 UAV models and the Low Altitude Economy (LAE).

In addition to the Fire Prevention and Search and Rescue UAVs, at the end of 2024, at the “Exhibition on Achievements in Private Economic Development and Product Displays”, the enterprise brought UAV products researched and developed by the company, notably a 1/6 scale prototype of the CT-2W1 fixed-wing passenger UAV.

This is the first fixed-wing passenger UAV in ASEAN. It can fly at a speed of 200 km/h, carry 5 people and has a maximum flight time of up to 2 hours. At that time, CT UAV planned to start mass production at the end of 2025 or early 2026.

General Secretary To Lam visited the CT UAV unmanned aerial vehicle of CT Group.

As for the unmanned cargo aircraft produced by CT Group, it will be exported to South Korea, according to the order just signed on August 12, which is a heavy-duty transport UAV.

The equipment has a payload from 60 to 300 kg, a localization rate of 85%. The enterprise is also developing UAVs integrated with artificial intelligence, combined with semiconductor technology and a location identification network system.

Regarding the order for 5,000 UAVs, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the spirit that “when enterprises succeed, the country succeeds”.

He highly appreciated the initiative in CT Group’s investment and development programs, with projects and orientations aligned with Vietnam’s core technology development strategy.

The head of the Government directed the Government Office, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Bank of Vietnam, relevant ministries, sectors, agencies and localities to consider, resolve and support CT Group in implementing the construction of factories; accessing the preferential credit package of 500 trillion VND for science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and strategic infrastructure; supporting brand building; placing orders, encouraging domestic production, contributing to ensuring economic security.
