(Chinhphu.vn) – At noon on August 13, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính held a working session with ministries, agencies, relevant authorities, and representatives of CT Group to discuss participation in the development of strategic technology products as well as several proposals and recommendations from the Group.

CT Group is one of Vietnam’s leading private corporations in technology and innovation, awarded the First-Class Labor Medal in 2022.

During the meeting, CT Group’s leadership reported that the Group has persistently pursued a strategy of technological self-reliance, mastering the world’s most advanced technologies across nine high-tech sectors: semiconductors; artificial intelligence; unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs); green digital currency; carbon credit trading platforms; zero-emission modular housing; electric vehicles and electric trains; quantum computing; new energy; genetics and cell technology; and digital twins. The Group is also developing three sustainable traditional industries: smart cities; green logistics and comprehensive infrastructure development in transportation, engineering, economics, and society; and clean food and healthcare.

As one of the pioneering enterprises in Vietnam’s high-tech sector, CT Group invests comprehensively—from theoretical research to R&D, design, commercial production, and export.

In semiconductors, the Group has developed a strategic doctrine for technological mastery, established three factories and two customer service centers in Silicon Valley, California, and Phoenix, Arizona (USA), and set up two seed-training centers at the National Innovation Center (Hòa Lạc, Hà Nội) and in Thủ Đức City (HCMC). Two cohorts have already graduated, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources and contributing to the implementation of Decision No. 1017/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister on semiconductor industry workforce development.

In UAV technology, CT Group is among Vietnam’s pioneers, leading innovation and shaping the future of the Low Altitude Economy (LAE). Notably, on August 12 in Seoul, South Korea, CT Group signed an export order for 5,000 UAVs to South Korea, witnessed by General Secretary Tô Lâm and South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min Seok.

At the meeting, CT Group made strong, large-scale commitments to research, develop, and apply strategic technologies—including UAVs, low-altitude economy development, semiconductor industry advancement, comprehensive national digital transformation, high-tech infrastructure investment, and biotechnology—while also presenting several proposals and recommendations.

After hearing the reports and opinions, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính commended CT Group’s proactiveness and its investment and development programs, noting their alignment with Vietnam’s core technology development strategy, the Party’s policies, and the State’s laws.

The Prime Minister urged the Group to continue its pioneering spirit in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, and to actively implement the Politburo’s four “pillar resolutions” on breakthroughs in science, technology, and innovation; private sector development; lawmaking and enforcement; and international integration.

He congratulated the Group on successfully exporting high-tech products and instructed relevant ministries and agencies to provide further support. Regarding CT Group’s proposals, the Prime Minister stated that relevant agencies are continuing to amend and improve laws, decrees, and circulars, and requested CT Group to continue contributing feedback on institutions, mechanisms, and policies.

The Prime Minister noted that the Politburo has established the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, headed by General Secretary Tô Lâm; while the Government has its own Steering Committee on Science, Technology, Innovation, Digital Transformation, and Project 06, chaired by the Prime Minister. He affirmed that relevant agencies will continue to resolve difficulties and improve inter-agency coordination.

The Prime Minister directed the Government Office, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Bank of Vietnam, and other relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to consider and support CT Group in building factories; accessing the VND 500 trillion preferential credit package for science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and strategic infrastructure; developing branding; receiving domestic production orders; and contributing to economic security.

He also requested all relevant bodies to work closely with businesses in general, and CT Group in particular, in resolving matters within their authority, and to report any issues beyond their mandate to higher authorities for consideration and decision.

Emphasizing that “when enterprises succeed, the country succeeds,” the Prime Minister called on CT Group to lead in implementing the Politburo’s “pillar resolutions” and the Fourth Industrial Revolution with the spirit of “say it, do it; commit, fulfill; act, and deliver measurable, concrete results.”
